Kane Pour is a guitarist and multimedia artist based in Gainesville, FL. He was highly active and prolific in the aughties, both as a solo artist and as part of side projects (Orchal and Vir, Tricorn And Queue). “The Last Wave,” set to release in March through sound as language, marks his first post-pandemic album, recorded during the Covid period.
The album serves as a meditation on the bewilderment, loneliness, and the sense of impending end brought about by forced isolation. The title itself references the collective pessimism of those two years: The Last Wave could have been his final album, or, at the very least, the last one before a new post-pandemic chapter in life.
“The Last Wave” is the first single from the upcoming album, a beautiful guitar-driven ambience for fans of Hollie Kennif.
The Last Wave is out on March 15th, 2024 via sound as language
